About me

I’ve always liked to think. Turns out you can make a career out of it. All it takes is switching Age of Mythology, chess, and Counter-Strike in-game leading for advertising and brands.

The greatest thing about it is that my whole life, people used to hate my non-stop questions about everything. Now, it’s one of the reasons people like me. What a wonderful thing it is to be a strategist.

About my role

Currently, I'm overseeing all strategic outputs in our agency. Most often, this involves either responding to briefs or creating my own. In both cases, it’s all about exploring problems or opportunities, clarifying details, and framing the direction.

About life beyond agency

You know how the saying goes: those who can’t do, teach. So, do those who can’t teach organize educational programs? Hopefully not, because that’s exactly what I’ve been doing lately.

Digisemestr is a 12 week learning programme that has helped over hundred young marketers to find their footing. The Marketing Festival is the biggest marketing event here in the Czech Republic. You can always count on me to have questions for the speaker ready to go. Oh, did I mention that I like asking questions?

  • Zaraguza* Senior Strategic Planner | 2022 - Present

    • CSOB (Bank) - Putting creative briefs together that responded to brand's communication yearly roadmap. Helping to sell creative ideas and strategic direction inside the corporation up to board level. All while winning 6 EFFIEs in 3 years along the way.

    • SKODA (Automotive) - Working on locally produced campaigns such as We Love Cycling, Hockey communication or SKODA Plus programe for used cars. We've produced the brand's most popular hockey communication in 30 years of Hockey World Championship partnership.

    • Burger King (QSR) - Winning a pitch for Czech Republic account. Then pushing the brand that used to focus only on product communication to BK global brand potential. Mainly by showing the client team what's possible and proactively coming up with strategic territories and creative ideas that fulfil the brand's aspirations.

    • BigShock! (FMCG) - Defining what long-term Shock yourself! brand platform means and how it can be used in communication. Launching different SKUs in different categories such as Ice Coffee and Ice Tea. Winning the brand's first EFFIE award.

    • SK Slavia Prague (Sport) - Building new season brand platform and launching new creative concept based on it. Helping to creatively approach partnership communication to promote the partner but also to engage current fans. Lastly introducing media based approach to team's communication inventory.

    • Internal - Organising agency internship programe that lead to full-time hiring fresh creative talent. Also being used as a reinforcement for the biggest pitches in sister agencies in Slovakia.

    Ogilvy* Strategic Planner | 2021 - 2022

    • Tesco (Retail) - Day to day planning on the agency biggest account in regional team that managed biggest campaigns for Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. Focusing primarily on seasonal campaign such as Easter, summer BBQ, back to school or Xmas under supervision of CSO. Creating new pricing communication platform that's still currently being used.

    • Raiffeisenbank (Bank) - Winning a pitch and building entirely new communication platform "Samozřejmě" that's been adopted even beyond our scope of work (e.g. HR campaigns or integral communication). Also building proposition writing principles that fuelled rigid media story-telling model. The concept eventually won silver EFFIE for long-term communication.

    Zaraguza* Junior Strategic Planner | 2018 - 2020

    • Axe (FMCG) - Helping to make global "Find your magic" platform locally relevant through responding to locally relevant issues. Creating communication plans to increase impact of the hero content. Winning YouTube Works for the best media strategy.

    • Rexona (FMCG) - Helping to find out ways how to make men and women sweat more. Being part of opening the biggest gym in Central Europe. Winning YouTube Works for the biggest cultural impact as well as Grand Prix.

    • Nestlé (FMCG) - Working on multiple local Nestlé brands. Usually relaunching traditional brands in fresh way to keep them relevant in modern world. Also being part in making Nestlé's first multi brand communication. Winning EFFIE award for one of the relaunches.

    Triad Advertising* Account & Social Media Executive | 2017 - 2018

    • IKEA (Retail) - Helping to make their charity project focused on supporting local orphanages happen.

    • Kofola (FMCG) - Helping to incorporate new GDPR rules to brand's marketing activities

    • Gambrinus & Kingswood (FMCG) - Being responsible for community management on brands' social media accounts.
